In 2022, wildfires burned 7,534,403 acres in the U.S.
We aimed to change that.
We launched Share the Spark Project, a PSA-style campaign that helped connect county weed directors with federal wildfire grants they may not have known were available. The campaign was built around the dual meaning of a spark: one small spark can ignite a devastating wildfire, but the right spark can also inspire action, ideas and meaningful change.
With that tension at the center, we encouraged county weed directors to “share the spark” by applying for grants that could help protect their communities before wildfires started. The campaign was anchored by an online hub with grant application information, upcoming opportunities and practical guidance. Supported by a 360º campaign and clear user journey, the work gave our audience the tools, tips and motivation to turn awareness into action.
